Serving up a plate of compassion at Christmas time

investLogan joined Lighthouse Care at their annual Christmas dinner event on 19 December to provide a delicious festive meal to families struggling to make ends meet in Logan.

Lighthouse Care recently received the Queensland Community Organisation of the Year award at the 2018 Community Achievement Awards in recognition of their work assisting families in need with food relief.

investLogan CEO Todd Rohl assisted with serving dinner to guests and remarked on the importance of the event to the Logan community.

“Lighthouse Care is well known for supporting families that need a helping hand and it was a privilege to help out at the annual Christmas dinner,” Mr Rohl said.

“Some families, especially at Christmas, find it difficult to make ends meet and Lighthouse Care’s Christmas dinner is one way lighten the burden for them.

“Along with their $25 trollies, low cost grocery store and events such as this Christmas dinner, Lighthouse Care touches so many lives in Logan and surrounding areas. And, they do it all with a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental spirit.

“investLogan is committed to delivering social and community benefits to the people of Logan. Supporting community organisations such as Lighthouse Care is one way in which we do this.”
