investLogan supports angels to fuel city growth

investLogan has thrown its support behind ‘angel investing’ in the City of Logan, having hosted the first Logan Angel Investment Group briefing session on Monday 15 October.

Angel investing brings together investors looking to provide capital in exchange for part ownership and start-up businesses who are in the process of raising funds to get off the ground.

Facilitated by CEO of Moreton Ventures Simon Horne, the Angel Investing program promoted local economic growth and focused on advocacy for local business.

“Our vision for the Logan Angel Investment Group is to create a local supportive community focused on creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship,” Mr Horne said.

“Elements of creating such a community include accessing local resources and experienced talent for mentoring and support, creating partnerships with existing businesses, attracting new corporate partners, and accessing local capital for investing in early stage high growth companies.”

Chairman Steve Greenwood said supporting the creation of the Logan Angel Investment Group was another way investLogan was advocating for the City of Logan.

“Logan is full of entrepreneurs with some amazing ideas and we want to help them realise their full potential,” said Mr Greenwood.

“investLogan is incredibly proud to support the Logan Angel Investment Group to help bring some amazing local business ideas to fruition.”
