investLogan Appoints Head of Finance

investLogan has welcomed Susan Stephens to the team as its Head of Finance. Ms Stephens joins the team with extensive accounting experience and a passion for property investment and development.

What drew you to the role at investLogan?

The fact that investLogan is a start up in the property development space really attracted me to the role. investLogan has a range of development opportunities including residential, commercial and community facilities. It is a small team of focussed individuals which is backed by an experienced and highly-qualified board, so I know I’m going to be challenged and learn something every day.

What previous relevant experience have you had?

I am a Chartered Accountant with plenty of experience, both internationally and within Australia. I have previously worked with several start-ups and enjoy the dynamics of a young business and the challenges it brings. I have also personally invested in and developed property for 30 years.

What are some key skills you will bring to the investLogan team?

My strategic, commercial and financial skills will be valuable to my role at investLogan. Skills I have developed in previous management and leadership positions will also be beneficial to the role. I have experience on Boards and within executive roles across a range of industries, including property, which I believe will be a great asset to the investLogan team.

What do you like most about Logan?

I was born and mostly bred in Brisbane and have watched on as Logan City has grown and developed immensely. It sits in a high growth corridor in Southeast Queensland with access to all population, transport and infrastructure concentrations. There is a good deal of industry and a young population. Logan has such great opportunity for continued growth.

How would you like to see investLogan improve the City of Logan over the next 5 years?

InvestLogan is positioned well to make its mark on the City of Logan by building key commercial, residential and community facilities. There are exciting opportunities to develop and transform commercial centres, a current example being The York in Beenleigh. Furthermore, investLogan is in a unique position to develop land surplus to Council’s requirements for the benefit and enjoyment of the people of Logan.

How will your role help to achieve that?

My role with investLogan will ensure the tight financial management of the operations of investLogan. I will also be involved in providing financial input into prospective developments and funding arrangements.

What are you most looking forward to experiencing as the Finance Director of investLogan?

I am excited about supporting developments and activities that provide job opportunities and community benefits for the people of Logan.
