InvestLogan Appoints Development Manager

investLogan has welcomed Corey Turner to the team as the Development Manager. Mr Turner comes with extensive construction and development experience. His aspirations align with investLogan’s vision for Logan, and we are thrilled to have Corey on board.

What drew you to the role at investLogan?

Besides my own personal growth in knowledge and career progression, I saw this as a unique opportunity to assist in delivering innovative and progressive projects. investLogan also provides me the opportunity to be involved in a variety of building types including Residential, Office space, Industrial, Community & Health facilities. The ability to be involved in the ongoing management of retained assets and the negotiations associated with these also drew me to investLogan.

What previous relevant experience have you had?

I have always been in the construction and development industries. I’ve held several broad roles including Site Manager, Project Manager and Contracts Administrator. These roles have given me experience across all aspects of development ranging from site feasibility and design development right through to project completion, sales and settlement. I also have practical onsite experience having previously worked as a Project Manager and Site Manager. These roles included the procurement and management of site activities, coordination with consultants, contractors and authorities and compliance with the relevant codes/standards.

What are some key skills you will bring to the investLogan team?

My previous roles provided me with extensive experience in Design Development, Construction and Compliance. I will bring this experience to the range of building types and projects that investLogan are delivering as the developer. When assessing the financial viability of a project, I can ensure that inputs surrounding the construction including cost and program are correct. The cost of construction is the largest component of a development. It’s imperative this is correct when testing the feasibility of a project.

How would you like to see investLogan improve the City of Logan over the next 5 years?

investLogan has the unique ability to deliver income producing assets to the shareholder, Logan City Council, on unused land that would otherwise be sitting idle. We also have the ability to deliver innovative and engaging projects that will spark further development and investment into the area. The York Street Development in Beenleigh is a good example of this.

Social and Community Enrichment is one area I am most excited about being involved in. Having the ability to deliver an income producing asset while at the same time providing long term benefit to the community, I feel this will be very rewarding.

What are you most looking forward to experiencing as the Development Manager of investLogan?

Besides my own personal growth in knowledge and my career, the construction industry is always evolving so I’m looking forward to delivering innovative projects. Being part of something that can spark investment into and area that has previously struggled is exciting. I’m excited about working in a skilled and motivated team with a common driver such as providing community benefit. I am also excited about establishing partnerships with businesses and people in the local community to deliver better projects and community facilities.
