investLogan would like to congratulate Accessibili-t co-founder and change advocate Kathryn Lyons, who has been selected as an Emerging Young Leader to attend the 12th session of the Conference of States Parties for CRPD at the United Nations in June.
Queensland Advocacy Incorporated (QAI) supported Kathryn’s application to this event, and the Department of Social Services generously provided funding to support her attendance to this event.
The Logan-based entrepreneur joined investLogan for a boardroom lunch in 2018 to discuss how the City of Logan could improve on current infrastructure and amenity to support those living with a disability.
Now Kathryn’s vision to empower and enable people globally is taking her to the United Nations where she’ll have the opportunity to spread her knowledge and passion for creating more inclusive communities. Kathryn also hopes to enhance her awareness and understanding of global human rights issues and bring learnings back to Australia and influence positive change.
